Back from the beach
Well we are back from the beach. We had a great time and I could hardly pull Gabriella from the water. We stayed in NC at Topsail Island at a nice little bed and breakfast. Food was good and weather was ok for the most part. Had a bit of rain Friday afternoon but it gave us a chance to go back and shower and than Jan took Gabriella out kayaking (the place we stayed had these). We left Sunday and took a ferry to Southport and had lunch on the water. All in all a nice time. Topsail beach was nice and quiet---just what I was looking for. Milan had a reaction to ??? sunscreen / the salt water---who knows. Benadryl was needed. He lost the rash for the whole trip and now that he's back at school it's back as well. Not the sheets as I thought--I am still bringing ours from home. Maybe perfume or hand cream?? I have no idea.

We are off to the beach tomorrow. Hopefully the hurricanes won't find us. Kids are good. Milan moved up to the next class (Lambs) this past Monday and he broke out in another rash Tuesday. I thought it was under control b/c I was bringing in his crib sheets. Now he is in a cot and I even took the cot sheet home and washed it in his detergent. But today it's all around his mouth and a bit pimply looking. I guess I will need to bing in his crib sheets for the cot. Hopefully this is it b/c if it's not, I'm not sure what it is.

Professional pics
We had a rough month with Milan. He had an allergist appt, another skin test and blood work to which they found that he's allergic to nothing. Not even cats anymore. So what is causing his rash that he's had for 2 1/2 months now??? No one knows. The suggestion was detergents or airborne but it flares when he sleeps, eats, plays---there is no rhyme nor reason. Luckily it does not seem to bother him. We took him off the Zyrtec for the skin test and when he went back on it stopped working. So we are now trying Allegra which is 3x the cost. Along with the singulair. I am dreading cold season which is right around the corner.
Gabriella is doing well. We are improving in the reading area and have lessons every other night. She can read short sentences. Next will be on to telling time. I got her a proper clock b/c she was learning to 'read' the digital. We are also working on writing her letters. She LOVES getting mail so those who are inclined she would love a postcard! She takes them to school for show and tell. We are going to the beach in about 2 weeks. First time this year. I am looking forward to it. Hope you like the pics!
